Today is our first Student Council meeting of the school year. Â Our students who decided to run for “class representative” each shared fantastic speeches. Â Our class elected the following representatives: Avie, Cadence, Aniya and Medardo. Â We are very excited for our 4th grade students to learn about the election process through personal experience in our classroom.
More elections will occur later during the school year, as students elect a mayor and judge of Young Ameritowne. Â The Ameritowne experience will occur on March 8th, 2017, as we travel to Lakewood, Colorado. Â Students will bring a town simulation to life, as they work and operate all of the businesses and services within the town.
